Jake Gyllenhaal is Doing his own Rendition

He can't sing a tune but that is for his upcoming movie Rendition that stars Reese Witherspoon and Meryl Streep. He and Reese get along well while filming and turns into a secret relationship. Reports said that they separate but recently they saw together in special functions. Despite Reese's divorce to ex-hubby Ryan Philippe, that didn't stop their blooming romance.

Since his applauded performance in October Sky, Jake returns with a bang via his critically acclaimed gay movie Brokeback Mountain. He starred along with Heath Ledger that depicts the life of two men in an unexpected homosexual relationship. That earned him a nod in BAFTA Awards Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role and a nomination in Academy Awards. It also opened doors to international recognition and tagged as one of the hot men in Hollywood.

Acting is in his genes as he came from a movie-oriented family. His infamous father is a film director while his mother is a film producer and screenwriter. His sister Maggie is also an actress in such a way his co-star in Donnie Darko. Before that, with his dad as the director, he appeared with his sister in A Dangerous Woman.

He got his first role as Danny in the movie City Slickers. As a rocket scientist is his next stop in the movie October Sky. Then comes Bubble Boy that didn't hit theaters and movie goers alike. He also appeared in several films such as The Good Girl, Moonlight Mile and Highway.

Aside from Brokeback Mountain there's Proof and Jarhead. In 2007, he got two movies lined-up to be at theaters, Zodiac opposite Mark Ruffalo and Rendition Meanwhile, his war-drama flick Brothers is set to conquer the big screen in 2009. His thriller movie Phone Booth created a lot of noise as he played a man trapped in a phone booth risking his life at the pull of a trigger.

It's been a good year for him having hit films one after another. In Daredevil, he plays as one of this hero's enemies Bullseye. He appeared in films Intermission, Veronica Guerin and S.W.A.T. A year has passed and he appeared in A Home At The End Of The World with Robin Wright Penn. After this, he played one of history's greatest conqueror Alexander topbilled with Angelina Jolie and Anthony Hopkins.

In the romance-drama Ask the Dust, he shifted his image from a toughie to a mushy having Salma Hayek as his lady love. He also starred in the movie adaptation of Pocahontas as Captain John Smith. With Jamie Foxx in another action flick Miami Vice, Collin takes it into the new level as a vice detective. Catch more of him in Cassandra's Dream for 2007.
