Jude Law Breaks and Enters

You may think that Jude Law turned his back from acting into stealing well, think again. I am referring to his 2006 movie Breaking and Entering. He portrays the cold landscape artist that changed his life after following the teenager who tried to break in into his apartment. This movie is his reunion movie with director Anthony Minghella after Cold Mountain.

He is named by People Magazine as Sexiest Man of 2004. Added into his belt are numerous award nominations including Tony Awards (Best Actor in a Feature Play) and Laurence Olivier Awards (Outstanding Newcomer) plus a BAFTA Film Award for his notable performance as an actor in The Talented Mr. Ripley. Started out in theater, Jude landed on his first TV appearance via the soap opera Families where he stayed for two years. But this hot men's acting prowess in bio-epic Wilde made him rise to fame even more.

He moved in to Hollywood doing small roles until his biggest break came when he did Gattaca with Uma Thurman. Big movie after another, he did Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil directed by Clint Eastwood. That moved into a notch higher as he included in one of the casts in The Talented Mr. Ripley opposite Matt Damon and Gwyneth Paltrow. Then he starred in Artificial Intelligence: A.I. and Enemy at the Gates.

Two years had passed when he did Cold Mountain where he gained a nomination in 2004 Academy Awards for Best Actor in a Leading Role. After his box-office movie comes Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow but unlike his former films, it didn't do well in theaters. Good thing it is followed-up by Alfie which is originally done by Michael Caine in a title role. Another one is Closer opposite Julia Roberts and Natalie Portman.

Coming up is a film adaptation of Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events as his voice was lent to bring life to Lemony Snicket's character. Some of his movies includes All the King's Men, The Holiday and Sleuth. Try to catch him in his upcoming film Repossession Mambo all set for 2009. Love wise, he isn't that lucky in love as he is divorced with former wife Sadie Frost in 2003 and his engagement to co-star Sienna Miller was finally over last November of 2006. Well you can't really get all the good things in life but for the meantime, he is happy in how his career goes through.
